How many pizzas for 50 people?
For an average mixed crowd, PartyMath starts around 3 slices per adult and 1.5–2 slices per child. If all 50 guests are adults, that is about 150 slices.
With eight slices per large pizza, 150 slices works out to 18.75 pizzas. A small buffer puts you at about 20–21 large pizzas.
A simple pizza mix
- About half cheese
- About one-third pepperoni
- The rest veggie or specialty pizzas
When to order more
Add pizzas for teenagers, late-night events, sports gatherings or parties where pizza is the only substantial food. Order fewer when you have appetizers, salads, wings, desserts or many young children.
